I met a boy in Barcelona and just had to write a song about it. His hair is really curly, but he's not really a basic bartender, he's actually very good!

He was a basic bartender with cute curly hair
She was a happy tourist, durnk enough to flirt and stare
She orded watermelon margaritas (or martinis?)
Well, I guess it doesn’t matter - he made them taste like sweeties

They shared a couple of words, just a couple of warm smiles
A couple of those looks and a couple of playful eyes
And when she had to go, he ran out and stopped her
Gave her a piece of paper with a cute note and a number

It said: ”I like you soooo much”

There was a boy from Barcelona
And a girl from a land far away
They met at a crep bar
And that’s the end,
I’m afraid there not much more to say

Lo siento Juan!

The girl thought ”Why not!” and sent him an SMS
But the days went by and like you might guess
The boy, he didn’t write or call, did not send her a word
She was a little bit confused, at least that’s what I’ve heard

Later on the girl was still filled with doubt
What if he never got the text? She had to find out,
so she called the number - what, it’s not in use? Oh no!
The boy forgot to tell her Barcelona’s area code

That pissed her off soooooo much

There was a boy from Barcelona...

The boy forgot about the girl and went on with his life
Most likely setteled down, has found a pretty wife
The girl? Who knows where she might be! Most likely on the road
Yet somehow she still remembers him, or that’s what I’ve been told

And Indeed, this time this really is the end
It only was a ”could’ve been” in the land of playing pretend
But maybe there will be a day when they both hear this song
Recognize this story and try to sing along

I mean the note said: "I like you soooooo much!"
